Flight to Urumqi , the capital of Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region . It’s the political , economic and cultural center of the region. It’s the gateway of China opening to the West. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
- Day 2 Urumqi – Korla by bullet train
In the morning visit the Xinjiang museum , it’s the biggest museum in the region , and owns the best collection of Silk Road archeological treasures and the world famous ancient mummies. Then take a bullet train to Korla. - Day 3 Korla – Kucha
After breakfast, head to the Taklimakan Desert, one of the largest shifting desert in the world, and the Diversiformed leafed Poplar Forest Park. The Tarim River winds through the northern part of the Tarim Basin. With a total length of 2,179 kilometers, it is the longest inland river in China. Populus euphratica forests can be seen along the banks of the river. Due to the harsh growing environment, they grow into strange shapes, yet they still stand firm. Here, we will visit the world's largest Populus euphratica Forest Park. At the end of October the leaves turn to golden yellow. - Day 4 Kucha – Aksu
in the morning drive to Aksu , visit the Wensu Grand Canyon It was formed by the reddish-brown rocks after being carved and eroded by wind and rain for hundreds of millions of years in nature. It’s famed as one of the most beautiful canyons in China. - Day 5 Aksu – Kashgar
In the morning drive to Kashgar , upon arrival visit the Eidgah Mosque which was built in 1442, the oldest and the biggest mosque in Xinjiang. After dinner hotel check-in and rest. - Day 6 Kashgar
Take a morning flight to Kashgar. Kashgar is the largest city in Central Asia, mid-way between Rome and Beijing, this exotic oasis used to be the last outfitting station on the centuries-old Silk Road. Enjoy a short walking tour through the Old Town with a visit to a Uyghur family。In the afternoon, explore Kashgar by visiting the Abakh Khoja Tomb,which is also known as Xiang Fei Garden and the handicraft street. Enjoy your afternoon tea in century-old tea house with the locals - Day 7 Kashgar – Tashkorghan
After breakfast, drive to Tashkorgan via Chinese Karakoram highway which is known as Sino -Pakistan Friendship Highway. Tashkorgan, means Stone Fortress in Uygur language. Stop at White sand Lake also known as Bulungkol lake. Then head to view the breathtaking scenery of Karakul Lake with the background of majestic Muztagh Ata Glacier. It is the highest lake of the Pamir - Day 8 Tashkorghan – Kashgar
Pay a visit to the Stone City located on the north side of Tashkorgan, is a famous ancient city ruin on the ancient road in Xinjiang. The fortress is built on a high mount with very precipitous topography. Outside the city are multi-level or scattered walls, between which overlapping stone mounts form a unique stone city landscape . After visiting the Golden Grassland drive back to Kashgar. - Day 9 Depart Kashgar
